Acorn App Update October 2026

As of October 12, 2026, the Acorn app has a few updates and bug fixes:

  1. If you’re signed into one account on mutliple devices, you will receive push notifications on each device.

  2. Advanced holds now include format (i.e.: book, DVD, CD audiobook, etc.) and language preferences.

  3. You can now tap on an image in a grid to zoom in/enlarge.

Bug fixes for iOS:

  1. If an item in Items Checked Out were to get deleted, the item would remain in the account until checked in.

  2. A prompt will now appear when opening the app if a banner message is included in the OPAC. These banner messages can include but are not limited to upgrade schedules, maintainence messages, and emergency library closures.
